Jed (neighbor/volunteer) front and center...from left Michelle (RD at BHHEC & Larry's wife), Larry (Head of the farm), Matt and Kris (summer interns).... Danielle (volunteer) is taking the picture. Planting lettuce in the field yesterday...how exciting!

The sun has arrived, the interns are here and the planting has begun in the field.

It’s so wonderful to see things being planted. Little organisms in a sea of dirt with potential to nourish our bodies and keep us alive. What a wonderful system.

We have an unfinished solar water heater hanging on the fence near the greenhouse. What is needed to finish the project is more 1 gallon water/juice/milk jugs – about 400 – 1,000 of them!
When I learn how to place a photo on this blog, I can show you what I am talking about.
Any empty 1 gallon jugs would be appreciated to help us capture more heat from the sun!
